SS8 With state testing this week, accept for some reading, most of the students’ work will be done in class. Students will be focusing on two topics this week–Regional differences from chapters 11 and 14 (refer to ch. 11, 14 Review sheet received today) and Articles I and II of the Constitution (text–pgs. 248-260).

SS6 Students read text–chapt. 11 lesson 4. ”Letter from Ancient Greece” was officially assigned today. Students began their research today in class and in the library. All the information needed to complete the assignment is in chapt. 11 lesson 4. Students will receive more information about due date, point value, length etc. this Wed./Thurs. bloc. Most of the work to complete this assignment will be done at school.

Thursday 4/23, Friday 4/24 Homework etc.

SS6 Per. 6 needs to complete HW#6 (see Tues. 4/21) to hand in tomorrow–Fri. 4/24.  No homework over the weekend.

SS8 Study for chapt. 13 section 4 quiz (Gold Rush) -scheduled for this Thurs/Fri. bloc.  In-class assign. #11 also due.

SS8 HW #6 (see Mon. 4/20) is due tomorrow–Wed. 4/21.  Don’t forget the chapt. 13 quiz dealing with the Gold Rush (lesson 4) scheduled for this Thur./Fri bloc.

SS6 Written HW #6. Students read text–chapt. 11 lesson 3 and take reading notes using Reading Log worksheet.  NOTE! chapt. 11 quiz is postponed for next week–more details coming.

SS8 Written HW #6.  Students read text–pgs. 242-247 and complete the Seven Principles of the Constitution worksheet.  Due Wed. 4/22.  Quiz on the California Gold Rush (text–ch. 13.4) scheduled for this Thurs./Fri. bloc.

SS6 Students review?/skim?/reread??? chapt. 11 lesson 2.  HEADS UP!! A chapt. 11 quiz (lessons 1 and 2) is tentatively scheduled for this Thurs./Fri. bloc.
